Layla finally reached the library, after walking for a couple hours. She was tired and her legs needed a rest. She slowly walked up the cement stairs, holding onto the railing. The big French doors were beautiful as she grasped her fragile hand around the brass handle, and opened the huge doors. It was fairly big inside, and lots of books. She was so surprised she didn't know where to start.
She decided to start on the first bookshelf to the right. It was full of mostly romantic novels, books of poems, and political type stories. She touched the call numbers, scanning over every book she saw.
The second shelf contained mystery and adventure novels, the kind she loved. She wondered if they had the books she's read before, but she didn't feel like looking for them at the time. The next row continued with mystery books, and into horror series like Goosebumps. Some of the book names were funny, for instance, Bunnicula. That was a book she read in fifth grade, and she absolutely loved it! She also read the second one: Bunnicula Strikes Back!. They were about a rabbit that was supposedly a vampire, or so what the dog and cat of the family's pets thought. She flipped through the pages of the book, and remembered reading every page, even though she didn't remember exactly what every one of them said. Then, she put the book back, and moved on to the next few rows.
She wanted to find a good book to read, but couldn't seem to find just one. She found tons of different kinds of novels and stories that she wanted to read, but decided upon just one. It was a book of poems that she read when she was little with a friend of hers when they had to read with a friend. The book is called Love that Dog. It was a really good book, or so she thought. She also picked up a book called DOG, just to see what it was about. She read page after page, book after book, and never was uninterested. But, she wished there was someone there other than her, and the librarian, where ever she was.
